The Day of the C.L.Final

It was a weird feeling to go back to Gare de Lyon in Spring. The memories of that wretched day came back. It was snowing and freezing cold I remember. That was the 1st time I had seen snow :P

I had this distantly remote feeling, and it was kinda nostalgic. Paris was stil la foreign city, yet I knew my way around perfectly. (gee i m so proud of myself)

In any case, it was nice to be skipping school the week b4 exams specially taking a 25euro 3hr train ride to catch a match (perhaps not just A match, its THE match) to capital of France.

1st met up with Michelle and Jeremy. u shd have seen Jeremy's face when he saw the huge Hallmark shopping bag. lol

then at the carnival we ran into nicolas earlier than the stipulated meeting time. we went to take our own adidas poster :) went to the trophy room. some displays of old time memoribilia from the competition. grabbed free goodies everywhere. it was crazy.

even slept at the Jardin beside la Tour Eiffel for abt half an hrs. relaxing in the sun. but the Catalans were crazy pple. they nvr stopped singing nvr stopped believing in their team.

met kianwee outside the stadium. went ard both camps, bought a souvenir tshirt which according to val if i wear it in smu how many pple will be jealous haha.

the game was exciting :) can u imagine i was sitting in the first row? n good luck bestowed when all the goals were in my side of the pitch right in front of me?

one wk later today, everybody noes Barça won it :P but the strangest thing happened.. at half time, it immediately started raining. (sitting in the 1st row, we r lucky enuff not to be covered by the shelter. i was half drenched even with the cap i wore so that i wldnt fall sick. i even used my jacket to protect my paper bag cos it was so nice, but ended up it didnt help, it was gone too) then 2nd half barca were trying to find an equaliser desparately, and so all the players were in my side of the half. maybe the fact that the barca crowd was on this end helped them. eventually they scored 2, but the rain stopped almost immediately when it was 90mins.

Showers of blessing? Barça Barça Barça!

It was no fun thing staying overnight at the train station. god. other than the fact it was dirty, i juz cldnt get to sleep. terrible experience once again. LoL.
